Hydraulic actuation system for the downstream gate of the left spillway – Montereale Valcellina (PN), Ravedis Dam.
In the heart of the Friulian Prealps, where the Cellina stream flows through one of the region’s most scenic valleys, stands the Ravedis Dam, a strategic infrastructure for flow regulation and flood control. In this demanding hydraulic context, Hydroven has designed and supplied two hydraulic power units complete with control panels, dedicated to the actuation of the upstream gates of the dam’s spillway system.
Each power unit consists of three 30 kW pump–motor groups, providing a flow rate of 60 l/min at 180 bar, fed by a 1,400-litre tank in AISI 304 stainless steel.
This configuration ensures continuous service, operational safety and resistance to atmospheric agents, thanks to high-performance components, multi-stage filtration and integrated monitoring instruments.
The hydraulic control panels, also made of steel, include spool valves, 24 VDC solenoid valves, pressure relief and balancing valves, as well as monitoring devices for real-time parameter adjustment.
The system enables precise and synchronised gate movement, ensuring full operational efficiency even under the most demanding conditions.
This project confirms Hydroven’s expertise in designing and manufacturing hydraulic power units for hydraulic and water-regulation infrastructures, where reliability and control come together with full respect for the surrounding environment and the natural force of water.
